Introductory Course in Ceramics

"Wow did I make this?"

In the very first lesson, we immediately create one or two works. "I never thought I would be able to create something like that after just one lesson" is a comment we often hear.

During the introductory course, you will discover the various aspects of working with clay. You will learn about different techniques, from working with slabs of clay to coiling, where you create rolls and attach them to each other. You will also learn how to work with a mold.

You will learn about various decorating techniques, such as working with engobes (clay slip) and glazes. You will also learn how to use the different tools and equipment in the studio. Of course, there is also room to discover the potter's wheel, if you enjoy that.
