Newsletter Clay Time Dear students, A first newsletter. Exactly one year ago I got the key to my first studio. And now a year later, we are so many steps further: a few milestones, the first course on June 1, Annemieke came on board in September. In November we moved to the big studio, Cindy joined. We got a second oven and now 11 turntables. This month Nicole starts as a teacher and we have two artists in residence (more on that), the first Masterclass and there is more fun in the pipeline. Short time for a first newsletter. Masterclass Chinese decoration techniques on porcelain Dive into the world of Chinese porcelain for one afternoon on Wednesday 13 May from 13.00 - 16.30. Li Zhen and Liu Lulu, talented ceramists visiting from Jingdezhen, China and Simone Haak, ceramist and owner of Terra Delft Gallery will provide this unique Chinese Porcelain Masterclass.
You will then get to work yourself with authentic Chinese brushes and brushes, and Chinese decals. You decorate a porcelain object that is then glazed and fired. After baking, you can take your work home with you. Price 95 euros including 1 item of Chinese Porcelain (worth 40 euros).
Invitation exhibition Terra 40 years, artists in residence In the ceramics world, Terra Gallery is a household name. For 40 years, Joke and Simone have been committed to putting ceramics on the map. On 23 May at 3 p.m., a large-scale exhibition will open in the Oude Kerk in which ceramics from five continents come together. The theme is Common Ground. In a world with ever-increasing tensions, the earth, terra, is our connecting factor. Everyone is cordially invited to the opening! You can register via info@terra-delft.nl stating opening 23 May.
